Getting creative can be a fantastic way to looking after your wellbeing, making new friendships and exploring new hobbies. You do not have to be experiencing mental ill health to attend them (although our staff and volunteers that deliver them have extensive mental health experience) and they are fun, friendly and informal. No creative experience (or skills!) required!
We are currently running poetry appreciation groups monthly in Filey, Scarborough Town, Newby and Scalby (daytime), Newby and Scalby (evening) and an Art Group monthly in Eastfield (for Eastfield residents only) and a range of one off sessions such as creative writing, poetry writing and glass fusion. These groups can all be booked on our events page at https://www.swrmind.org.uk/upcoming-events By booking, you’ll get reminders, notices in case there is a cancellation or change in time/location and information about new groups coming up.
We will soon be launching “creating for good” sessions – getting together to make for others such as twiddlemuffs, baby blankets, chemotherapy caps and more!
Open to anyone aged 16+. Check out our events page or join our mailing list for upcoming sessions.
