The Wellness Bridge

The Wellness Bridge supports individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) who may be at a higher risk of cancer or already dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

People with SMI are more likely to experience lifestyle factors like smoking and poor diet that increase their cancer risk and are often less likely to attend routine cancer screenings. For example, women with SMI are 20% less likely to attend cervical screenings, which significantly raises their risk of late-stage cancer diagnoses. The Wellness Bridge offers a comprehensive, personalised approach to help individuals break down these barriers and take positive steps toward attending screenings and improving their health.

We understand how difficult it can be to make changes, especially for those experiencing ill mental health. The Wellness Bridge is here to support you without judgement, from whichever place they’re starting from, whether that’s starting to engage in 5 minutes of walking a day or feeling anxious about booking a screening appointment; our project is here to help you reach the next step, at your pace.

The Wellness Bridge is built around your needs. Whether you’re looking to make healthier lifestyle choices or need help accessing healthcare services, we’re here to provide the support you deserve.

The Wellness Bridge Offers:
